The paper time sheet, retired.

JobLogger is a custom crew labor-log app we built for a roofing operation — and it's live with a real crew, opening shifts and finalizing days on joblogger.app. Foremen open a daily shift, log members and hours, and allocate time to jobs. Averaging-agreement aware, exceptions-first, works offline.

The app

Everything a foreman needs to close a day.

Built to replace the daily paper sheet. Faster to fill, impossible to lose, and the hours go straight to payroll.

📅

Daily crew log

Open a shift, add your crew, punch start and finish times, and split each member's hours across jobs. In minutes, on a phone or desktop.

⚖️

Averaging agreement built in

Manitoba seasonal averaging: a 12-week window, 100 hours per 2-week payroll period, and a hard 12h/day cap enforced server-side. A cap breach is a violation — not overtime.

📊

Exceptions-first dashboard

Managers see what needs attention first: crews not clocked, sick days, hour outliers. No more hunting through sheets.

Why we built it

Twenty years of fleet ops, one recurring problem.

Every day, roofers and siders fill a paper time sheet: who was on which crew, who started when, who worked which job. It's slow, it's error-prone, and payroll reconciles it by hand. JobLogger replaces the sheet and makes the hours audit-ready by construction.

What the app includes

  • Shift workflow: open → roster + times → allocate to jobs → finalize, with a server-side date gate (no editing yesterday after the fact)
  • Job numbers in P#-prefix format straight from real work orders
  • Phone + PIN login for field workers — no passwords to forget, no GPS tracking
  • Offline queue: every entry saves on the phone when service drops and syncs when it's back
  • Automatic totals: lunch deducted, hours summed, allocations must equal the day
  • Multi-company ready — built for one tenant, designed for many

Status: live

This is a production app with a real crew using it daily. The same build powers a public demo on sample data if you want to click through the whole flow.

Try it

The live app is at joblogger.app. Want a hands-on walkthrough first? The demo runs on fake data (demo company, fake crews and jobs) — log in with phone 2045551234 / PIN 1234 and fill out a full day end-to-end.

How it works

One pipeline, four steps.

From intake to live domain without the agency song-and-dance.

01

Phone + PIN, 10 seconds, works on any phone.

02

Open today

Crew 1's shift is already open. Add members, set start times.

03

Work the day

Finish times, sick or off days, notes — one screen.

04

Allocate & finalize

Split hours across P# jobs; the day locks for payroll.

FAQ

JobLogger questions, answered.

Is this a real product?

Yes. A custom app we built for a roofing operation, and it's live with a real crew right now — shifts opened, hours logged, days finalized on joblogger.app.

Can you build this for my company?

Yes. JobLogger is a custom build — we tailor it to your crews, your jobs, your averaging rules. Tell us about your operation through the contact form.

Does it track locations or GPS?

No. Manual punch only. Field workers log in with phone + PIN, and nobody is tracked.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Every entry a foreman makes queues on the phone when service drops and syncs when it's back — nothing is lost on a dead-cell job site.

What does it cost?

Custom builds are quoted per scope. Tell us about your operation through the contact form and we'll quote it. No retainer.

Want your own custom app?

Websites, dashboards, time-sheet apps — tell us what to build and we'll quote it.
